How to get into deep sleep?

I've been having trouble sleeping deeply lately; I wake up multiple times. I feel tired even after 7-8 hours in bed. What are some effective ways to get into a deep sleep cycle?

Hey, it's good you're focusing on deep sleep, it's so important for your overall health. Try to create a solid bedtime routine – same time every night, no screens an hour before. Also, make sure your room is dark, cool, and quiet. It really makes a difference.

Getting good deep sleep is crucial for muscle recovery and overall energy, man. Make sure you're getting enough physical activity during the day, but not too close to bedtime. Also, watch your caffeine intake, especially in the afternoon. A good protein snack before bed can sometimes help too.

For deep sleep, the key is to calm your mind before rest. I find that practicing a few minutes of Nadi Shodhana pranayama (alternate nostril breathing) before bed works wonders. It balances your energy and prepares your body for restorative sleep. Also, light stretching helps.

I've been tracking my sleep with my smartwatch and have learned a lot! To increase deep sleep, I noticed keeping the bedroom cool and dark really helps. Also, my app suggested doing some light meditation or listening to sleep stories before bed. It definitely shows improved deep sleep percentages for me.

Oh, I totally get how frustrating it can be when you can't get deep sleep, it impacts everything. I used to feel so drained. What helped me emotionally was accepting it takes time and focusing on relaxation. Try warm baths, reading a book, and absolutely no phone in bed. It slowly improved for me.
