How to get good quality sleep?

Been struggling with sleep quality for a few months now, even after trying everything from warm milk to meditation. I wake up feeling tired and groggy most mornings. What are some effective ways to get good quality sleep?

Oh, I totally get it, good sleep is so elusive these days! For me, dimming the lights an hour before bed and avoiding screens really makes a difference. Also, try to keep your bedroom cool and dark. It takes some discipline, but the benefits are huge.

Haan na, good sleep is becoming so difficult. I try to drink a glass of warm milk before bed, it actually helps me feel sleepy. And no mobile phone in bed, that's a must. Thoda dhyan rakhna padta hai.

With PCOS, sleep issues are common, so I've really focused on this. I find having a consistent bedtime routine, like reading a book or listening to calm music, helps signal to my body it's time to wind down. Avoiding late-night caffeine is obvious, but also try to get some sunlight exposure in the morning to set your circadian rhythm. It might take time, but small changes can add up.

My doctor actually gave me a few tips when I was struggling with sleep. He emphasized maintaining a strict sleep schedule, going to bed and waking up at the same time daily, even on weekends. Also, ensuring your bedroom is dark, quiet, and cool, and avoiding caffeine or heavy meals late in the evening. He also said a short, light exercise during the day helps.

Quality sleep is super important for recovery! What works for me is getting in a good workout during the day, not too close to bedtime though. Also, watching what I eat, especially dinner. Keep it light and avoid heavy, sugary stuff. A bit of stretching before bed helps calm the body too.
