How to get fever down without medicine?

My child has a low-grade fever, and I'd rather not give her medicine right away if it can be helped. What are some effective ways to get a fever down without medicine for a child? I'm looking for safe home remedies.

For a slight fever, you can try cool sponging and drinking plenty of fluids like water, ORS, or coconut water. Keep your room cool and wear light clothing. But if the temperature goes above 100°F or you feel really unwell, please take medicine or see a doctor.

When you have conditions like high BP, any fever needs to be managed carefully. I wouldn't risk bringing it down without medicine if it's significant. Lifestyle changes like proper diet and regular checkups help keep immunity strong, which might prevent fevers. But once it's there, my doctor advises medicine for safety, especially with BP.

Ugh, fevers are the worst, especially when you have deadlines! I usually just chug a lot of water, like seriously a lot, and try to sleep it off. If it's really bad, then paracetamol is my best friend. But for mild ones, hydration and sleep are my go-tos.

I tried to avoid medicine once for a fever, thinking it would go away naturally. Ended up with severe dehydration and had to be hospitalized. It's not worth the risk. For mild symptoms, home remedies are okay, but if it's getting worse, please, for your own good, see a doctor and take medicine.

My mother always taught us to use lukewarm water for sponging the body and drink lots of 'kadha' with ginger, tulsi, and honey. These help soothe. But if the fever crosses a certain point or you feel very sick, please don't avoid the doctor. Medicine is there for a reason, beta.

Agree with rest and fluids. Keeping a damp cloth on the forehead also helps me feel better instantly.

Hydration is your primary tool without medicine. Sip on water, clear soups, ORS, even fruit juices. Keep your body temperature regulated by wearing loose, light clothing and using a fan if needed. Cool compresses can offer relief. But remember, if the fever is persistent or very high, don't hesitate to take a paracetamol or consult a doctor.

Beta, if it's a mild fever, just take care of yourself. Rest properly, drink lots of liquids like water or coconut water. Your body has its own defense mechanism. Don't push yourself. But if it feels like it's getting out of hand, don't be afraid to take help from a doctor. It's okay.

Hey, don't stress too much about getting it down without medicine for too long! Your body needs support. For mild fevers, cool compresses and sipping on warm fluids like herbal tea can help. But if it's getting high, just take a paracetamol, yaar. Don't be a hero. Your health is priority!

I always try to get my fever down naturally initially, with just fluids and rest. But sometimes I get anxious if it doesn't budge. Does anyone else feel that pressure to avoid medicine, but then worry if they waited too long? It's a tough balance.
