How to get fever down in toddler?
My toddler has a fever of 102°F, and I'm really concerned. I've given him a fever reducer, but it's not dropping much. What can I do at home to help get his fever down safely? Any tips for soothing him?

Toddler fevers are scary and can quickly escalate. Don't try to save money on this. Always have a good thermometer at home. And if the fever is high or very sudden, get to a pediatrician. Blood tests can be expensive, but catching something early for a child is worth every penny.
Our pediatrician always emphasizes lukewarm sponging for toddlers, never cold water. Give age-appropriate paracetamol or ibuprofen as prescribed by the doctor, strictly following dosage according to weight. Hydration is critical; offer breastmilk, ORS, or plain water frequently. Watch for any danger signs like difficulty breathing or drowsiness, and rush to the hospital if you see them.
For a toddler, absolutely no random home remedies! Kids' bodies are so delicate. You must consult a pediatrician immediately. They will tell you exactly what to do and what medication to give. Do not experiment with your child's health based on internet advice.
Bache ko fever hai toh sidha doc ke paas le jaao. Gharelu nuskhe baad mein. Pehle doc ko dikhao, medicine lo, aur jo bole woh karo. Bachon ke maamle mein risk mat lo.
Keep them lightly clothed, avoid bundling. Offer sips of water or breastmilk very frequently. You can also give a lukewarm bath or sponge them down gently. Always have infant paracetamol or ibuprofen syrup at home, but confirm dosage with your child's doctor first. Watch their diaper output too for dehydration signs.
For toddlers, creating a calm and peaceful environment is important, as anxiety can make things worse. While you're waiting for medical advice, gentle massage with natural oils and some soft music can help them relax. But please, always follow your pediatrician's instructions first. My experience is more with adults, but calm helps anyone.
Chhote bachche ko bukhar ho toh bahut dhyan rakhna padta hai. Usko halka kapda pehnao, aur thode-thode der mein paani pilaate raho. Doctor se zaroor salah lena, jaldi theek ho jaayega. Bhagwan kare jaldi achha ho jaye bachcha.
For toddlers, obviously no exercise when they have a fever! But post-fever, once the doctor clears it, getting them back to light play and fresh air helps with recovery. But during fever, it's just rest, fluids, and pediatrician's advice. Nothing else.
