How to get admitted to the hospital for back pain?

I've been suffering from chronic back pain for years, and lately it's become so bad I can barely move. My family doctor said I might need more intensive treatment. What's the process to get admitted to a hospital specifically for back pain treatment?

Back pain can be so debilitating, I get really anxious about it. If it's severe and not improving, just go to the emergency room. Have others experienced being admitted for back pain? What tests did they do? I hope it's not something too serious for you.

For severe back pain, especially if it's sudden, radiates to your legs, or causes numbness, you must go to the emergency room immediately. Don't wait. They will assess you, probably do scans like MRI or X-ray. It's crucial to get it checked by a specialist. Just like I regularly monitor my BP, persistent pain needs serious attention.

Oh man, severe back pain is no joke! It's like having a craving for golgappas but your body just says NO. For something like that, you can't just wish it away. Head to the emergency room right away. They'll run tests and if needed, they'll get you admitted. Good sleep and pain relief are the best treats right now, not food!

I once had terrible back pain and panicked thinking the worst. I went to the ER. They did an X-ray and gave me some strong painkillers, and a muscle relaxant. I wasn't admitted that time, but they would have if it was something serious. So definitely go to the emergency department, describe your symptoms clearly, and let them decide. Don't worry too much, but don't delay either.

Beta, don't ignore severe back pain. Many years ago, my husband had such bad back pain, we rushed him to the hospital. They did some scans and gave medicines, and he got admitted for a few days for rest and injections. So, if it's unbearable, go to the emergency room. They will help you. Trust the doctors.

I ignored my back pain once, and it led to some complications that required a longer hospital stay. So my advice is, if the pain is severe, especially if you can't move properly or feel numbness, go to the ER immediately. Don't wait. Clearly tell them all your symptoms, and they will run tests and decide if admission is needed. It's better to be safe.

If you are experiencing severe, incapacitating back pain, especially if accompanied by numbness, weakness, or bladder/bowel issues, proceed directly to the nearest hospital's Emergency Department. Provide a detailed account of your symptoms. The medical team will conduct examinations and diagnostic tests (like MRI or CT scan) to determine the cause and necessity of admission. Professional medical assessment is paramount.
