How to get a 1 year old to sleep?

My one-year-old has started resisting bedtime and wakes up frequently during the night. It's becoming very challenging for us to get any rest. What are some proven methods or routines to get a 1-year-old to sleep properly through the night?

While my experience is with thyroid management, I can tell you that consistency is key for any health routine, including sleep for a child. A 1-year-old needs a predictable bedtime routine. Ensure they are well-fed and comfortable, and perhaps consult your pediatrician if sleep issues are severe, as they can rule out underlying discomforts.

Beti, ek saal ke bachche ko sulana mushkil ho sakta hai. Hamare ghar mein toh raat ko sulane se pehle tel ki malish karte hain aur thoda doodh pilate hain. Fir lori gaate hain. Ek hi samay par sulane ki koshish karo roj. Baccha dheere-dheere seekh jata hai.

Oh, the 1-year-old sleep struggle is real! We found a consistent bedtime routine was a lifesaver. Bath, story, cuddles, then crib. A dark room and white noise machine can also work wonders. Sometimes they're also overtired, so make sure naps are good too. Be patient, it gets better!

This can be really frustrating, and lack of sleep affects everyone. While many have good tips, if your 1-year-old is having severe sleep issues, it's always best to consult your pediatrician. Sometimes there can be underlying issues like ear infections or reflux that disturb sleep, which only a doctor can identify and treat.

I totally understand how draining and emotionally tough it is when your little one isn't sleeping. It feels like you're constantly running on empty. For a 1-year-old, try to establish a very predictable bedtime routine, like bath-story-bed. Consistency is important, but also, don't forget to take care of your own well-being during this phase. It's okay to feel tired.

Please don't underestimate persistent sleep issues in a child. I once brushed off my own fatigue, and it had bigger consequences. For a 1-year-old, it could be teething, growth spurts, or even a slight discomfort. If all usual methods like routine and comfort don't work, definitely check with your pediatrician. Peace of mind for both you and baby is important.
