How to get 4 month old to sleep?

My 4-month-old baby is having trouble sleeping through the night, and I'm so exhausted. We've tried a few things, but nothing seems to work consistently. Any tips on how to get a 4-month-old to sleep better and longer?

Oh, the 4-month sleep regression is real, I remember it well with my son! We found that a consistent bedtime routine helped a lot – bath, massage, feed, then dark room with white noise. Sometimes, waiting a few minutes before picking them up if they fuss helps them learn to self-soothe. It’s tough, but you'll get through it!

Beti, chote bachche ko sulana thoda mushkil hota hai. Humare yahan toh raat ko lori gaate hain, aur thoda tel laga kar malish karte hain. Kamre mein halka andhera aur shanti rakho. Maa ka doodh pilane ke baad bhi neend acchi aati hai. Himmat rakho, ho jayega sab theek.

There are some great apps for tracking baby sleep, like Huckleberry or Glow Baby. They help you notice patterns and optimal wake windows. For a 4-month-old, a consistent routine – dark room, white noise, feed – is usually recommended. Some even use smart night lights or sound machines with app controls. Good luck getting those Zzz's!

Man, babies and sleep, that's a whole saga! My cousin just had a baby, and he told me about 'sleep training' where you teach them to fall asleep on their own. Maybe check out some videos on that? Also, a dark, quiet room is always a good idea. Hope you get some sleep soon!

Namaste. A baby's sleep patterns are like the flow of a river, sometimes calm, sometimes turbulent. Be patient and fill your home with calm energy. A gentle lullaby, a soft touch, and ensuring the room is peaceful can help. Remember, your calm presence is very soothing for the little one. Take care of yourself too.

Oh, the exhaustion and anxiety around baby sleep is so real. It's completely normal to feel overwhelmed when your little one isn't sleeping well. For a 4-month-old, it's often a sleep regression. Focus on a very consistent bedtime routine, a dark and quiet room, and try feeding them right before they settle. It's tough, but you're doing great, don't worry.

I totally get it, that newborn sleep phase is a blur, and then at 4 months, they hit a 'regression' which makes it even harder! Don't feel alone. Many parents swear by swaddling (if your baby likes it) and a strong bedtime routine. Also, try making sure they're not overtired when you put them down, that can actually make it harder.
