How to fix elbow pain?

I play a lot of badminton, and lately, I've been experiencing a dull ache in my elbow, especially after playing. It feels like 'tennis elbow' type of pain. What can I do to fix this elbow pain and prevent it from coming back?

Elbow pain, aiyo, it can be very bothersome. My grandmother used to say apply warm castor oil. But modern times, it's better to consult a good doctor. Sometimes it's a simple strain, sometimes more. They will tell you if you need rest, some exercise, or medicine. Trust their advice, it is for your good.

Please don't ignore elbow pain like I did. I thought it was just muscle strain and kept working, and it just got worse, turning into chronic tendinitis. It became so painful I couldn't even lift a cup. Get it checked by a doctor or physio early, it saves a lot of trouble later.

While diet doesn't directly 'fix' elbow pain, ensuring you get enough anti-inflammatory foods like turmeric, ginger, and Omega-3s can support your body's healing process. Reduce processed foods too. But for actual pain, especially if it's persistent, a proper medical diagnosis and treatment plan from a doctor or physiotherapist is essential.

For elbow pain, especially if it's persistent, you should consult an orthopedist. At a good hospital, they can properly diagnose if it's tennis elbow, golfer's elbow, or something else. Ask them clearly about physiotherapy options, pain management, and any lifestyle modifications needed. Self-diagnosis isn't advisable.

Elbow pain could be due to overuse, like 'tennis elbow' even if you don't play. I use my fitness app to track my posture and remind me to take breaks. You could also try some resistance band exercises or stretching recommended by a physio. There are apps for that too! But first, a doctor's diagnosis is important.
