How to find stroke volume from blood pressure?

My dad has high blood pressure and the doctor mentioned something about his stroke volume. I'm curious if there's a way to find it out just from his blood pressure readings, as we monitor those regularly at home.

Umm, I'm not really sure if you can directly find stroke volume just from blood pressure. Don't they measure it separately? I think blood pressure is different from how much blood the heart pumps in one beat. Can anyone clarify?

You cannot directly derive stroke volume solely from blood pressure readings. They are related but distinct cardiac parameters. Stroke volume is measured via echocardiography or other advanced cardiac imaging. Blood pressure is an indirect indicator of vascular resistance and cardiac output, not stroke volume itself.

No, you cannot find stroke volume just from blood pressure. Blood pressure is what the machine tells you, but stroke volume is a deeper heart measurement. If you're having serious concerns about your heart, please see a doctor. Natural remedies are good for general health, but for specific heart metrics, only a doctor can help.

Haha, if only it were that simple to get all heart measurements from a BP machine, right? Then my doctor visits would be much shorter. 😂 But no, stroke volume is different. You need special tests, usually an echo, to figure that out. Don't try to calculate it from your BP, you'll just confuse yourself!

I totally get why you'd wonder if you could connect the dots, but stroke volume and blood pressure aren't directly interchangeable like that. Blood pressure is a force, while stroke volume is about the quantity of blood pumped. You need specialized medical tests for stroke volume, not just a BP cuff.

Just like how a single thyroid hormone reading isn't enough, blood pressure alone won't give you stroke volume. They are different metrics. Stroke volume is a detailed cardiac measurement, requiring specific tests like an echocardiogram. If you're concerned about your heart, please consult a cardiologist for proper assessment.

Lol, if our BP machines could tell us stroke volume, they'd be like magic wands! ✨ But sadly, no. Blood pressure is just one piece of the puzzle. For stroke volume, you need a doctor with fancy equipment, not just your home BP monitor. It's more complex than that!
