How to find out if you have kidney stones?

I've been having really bad pain in my side and sometimes my urine looks a bit cloudy. My neighbour suggested it could be kidney stones. What tests or symptoms help doctors confirm if someone has kidney stones?

Oh, I totally get why you'd be worried about kidney stones, the pain sounds horrific. The main way to know for sure is to see a doctor. They'll probably do a urine test, blood tests, and imaging like an ultrasound or CT scan. Don't ignore severe pain, please!

My doctor told me that intense pain in the back or side, pain during urination, blood in urine, or frequent urination could be signs. But to confirm, you absolutely need diagnostics. They usually do a CT scan, which is the most accurate, or sometimes an ultrasound first.

Umm, I'm not sure, but I think you should see a doctor if you're worried. Is it very painful? My friend had something like this and they needed a scan. Does anyone know if there are different types of stones?

If you're having really bad pain in your back or side, or if your urine looks cloudy or reddish, it's a big sign. Best to go to a clinic; they'll do a simple urine test and maybe scan to see if anything is there. Don't self-diagnose for this one.

Hey! If you're experiencing really sharp pain in your lower back or stomach, or if peeing becomes painful, you should def get it checked. My aunt had them and said the pain was unbearable. A doctor visit for an ultrasound or CT is a must.

Kidney stones? Oh, the joys of getting older, haha. If you feel like someone is repeatedly kicking you in the back and stomach at the same time, it *might* be stones. But seriously, go to the doctor, they have machines that can actually see inside you. Don't suffer unnecessarily.

Yaar, kidney stones are no joke. Actually, the only way to confirm is to see a doc. They'll do some tests, maybe an ultrasound or CT scan, to see if there's anything there. Don't just suffer at home, go get it checked!

I've been reading up on this too because of some random back pain. From what I understand, only a doctor can properly diagnose it with tests. Self-diagnosis for kidney stones sounds pretty risky, especially with that kind of pain!

If you suspect kidney stones, please go to a reputable hospital. Ask your doctor clearly for a detailed diagnosis. They will usually order urine analysis, blood tests, and imaging like a KUB X-ray, ultrasound, or even a CT scan for accurate detection. Don't hesitate to ask questions.

Any kind of severe pain, especially in the flank area or during urination, should not be ignored. It's always best to get it checked by a doctor immediately to rule out serious conditions. Please don't wait.
