How to explain period pain to a man?
My husband sometimes doesn't quite grasp how bad period pain can be. How can I explain to a man what period pain feels like so he understands better?

I think trying to 'explain' it to a man is less important than explaining it to a doctor. Internet analogies can be misleading. Focus on communicating your symptoms clearly to a medical professional. For men, maybe just say it's severe abdominal cramps.
Girl, don't stress too much trying to make them 'get it' completely. I just tell my guy it feels like my insides are tying themselves in knots and someone's twisting them. And then I ask for a hot water bag and ice cream. Mostly they just need to know you're uncomfortable and need some TLC!
It's tough because they can't feel it, right? I usually say 'imagine you have really bad stomach cramps, like food poisoning, but it's not food poisoning, and it lasts for days'. Adding how it affects your energy or mood also helps them understand.
For me, if my partner is having pain, I try to encourage some light stretching or walking if she feels up to it, and healthy food. Explaining it could be like, 'imagine doing a really intense ab workout but the soreness is inside and constant'. Might help them relate to a physical discomfort.
I tell my brother, 'Imagine someone is squeezing your insides like a tube of toothpaste, but you can't stop them.' Or, 'It's like a really bad charley horse in your abdomen, but for hours.' He usually just nods and offers chocolate, which is good enough, haha!

Haan na, it's hard to explain to guys. I just say it's like a really bad stomach ache, but lower down, and it makes me feel super tired and sometimes angry for no reason. Ho na? They usually get the hint that I need some space or comfort.
My wife used to say it's like a constant dull ache that sometimes spikes into sharp pains, combined with general tiredness. I think the key is to communicate what you need from them – like rest, quiet, or just empathy. Ignoring pain, whether period or BP, is never a good idea.
