How to explain pain to doctor?

I have an appointment with my doctor next week for persistent back pain, but I always struggle to explain how it feels. What's the best way to describe my pain to the doctor so they understand?

Hey, when I explain my pain, I usually focus on when it started, what makes it worse or better, and how it affects my daily activities. For example, if it stops me from my morning walk, I tell them that. Helps the doctor understand the impact.

Honestly, don't overthink it, just tell the doctor exactly what you feel. Don't go searching for fancy medical terms online, you might confuse yourself or the doc. Let them diagnose properly. Be clear about the location, intensity, and type of pain.

Haha, I usually start with 'Doc, it feels like a tiny army of ants is throwing a party in my leg' and then try to be serious. But seriously, tell them if it's like a dull ache or a sharp knife, and if it comes and goes like a bad ex. They'll get it!

Bhai, simple hai. Kahan dard hai, kab se hai, kaisa dard hai (chubhan, jalan, halka), aur kya karne se thoda theek lagta hai ya zyada hota hai. Bas ye sab bata do. Doc ko sab samajh aa jayega.

Please, please, don't be like me. I ignored a nagging pain for months thinking it was nothing, and it got much worse. Just tell your doctor everything, no matter how small it seems. The more details you give, the better they can help you. Don't delay a checkup.

When I go to Apollo or Max, I make sure to list down everything. Like, what is the pain scale from 1-10? Is it constant or intermittent? Does it radiate anywhere? Also, don't forget to mention any previous treatments or medicines you've tried. Ask questions too, it's your health.
