Having kidney stones can be super scary and painful, I know that feeling of anxiety when you're dealing with health issues. Don't panic. The good news is many small stones pass naturally with lots of water. But for bigger ones or if the pain is severe, you absolutely need a doctor. They might suggest medicines or procedures. Hydration is key!
My daughter had kidney stones, and as a parent, it was heartbreaking to see her in pain. We followed the urologist's advice strictly. Lots of water, almost 3-4 liters a day. She had to cut down on foods high in oxalates. Sometimes medicines are given to help them pass. For bigger stones, procedures like lithotripsy might be needed. It's crucial to follow the doctor's plan.
Kidney stones can be very painful. My aunt used to tell us to drink lots of barley water or horse gram soup (kollu rasam) to help with passing small stones. Staying well-hydrated is always good. But if the pain is intense or the stone is big, please, you must consult a nephrologist or urologist. They are the best people to advise for elimination methods.
Beta, for small kidney stones, our elders always recommended drinking plenty of water, especially tender coconut water. Some also say to have apple cider vinegar diluted in water. It helps to flush them out. But if the pain is unbearable or it's a big stone, then you must go to the doctor, they have machines to break them now.
Kidney stones? The only thing I want to eliminate permanently is my alarm clock, but stones are a much worse pain! Seriously though, I heard tons of water is key. Like, drink so much you feel like a walking waterfall. And avoid those foods that cause them, though figuring that out when you're half-asleep is hard enough.
