How to ease yeast infection pain?

My gynecologist confirmed I have a yeast infection, and the itching and discomfort are just awful. I'm taking the medication, but is there anything else I can do at home to quickly soothe the irritation? It's making daily activities quite difficult.

I used to panic so much whenever I got an infection, thinking it was something much worse. Wearing loose cotton clothes and avoiding scented washes helps calm the irritation. Please see a gynecologist to get a proper antifungal prescription so you can feel completely relaxed.

I visited a specialist at a reputed hospital for persistent itching. They explained that self-treatment with random creams can make the infection resistant. Ask your doctor clearly for the correct course of oral or topical antifungals to clear it properly.

While you must take proper medical treatment for a yeast infection, keeping your diet clean helps too. I always cut out refined sugars and yeast-containing foods, and include fresh unsweetened curd in my daily meals to support healthy gut flora.

As a diabetic, high blood sugar levels can make you highly prone to recurrent yeast infections. Please check your blood glucose levels immediately if you get an infection. It is very important to consult your doctor for targeted treatment.

I panicked completely the first time I got a yeast infection, thinking it was a major health crisis! But my doctor reassured me it is incredibly common and easily treatable. A short course of prescribed cream cleared it right up, so don't worry at all.
