How to ease wisdom tooth pain?

My wisdom tooth has started coming in, and the pain is getting quite bad, especially while eating. My dentist appointment is next week, but I need some immediate ways to ease this throbbing pain in the meantime. It's really affecting my sleep too.

Please be very careful with wisdom tooth pain. My wisdom tooth was growing sideways and impacted, which I ignored until it damaged my adjacent molar and caused a major infection. Go to a dentist and get an OPG x-ray done to see exactly how the tooth is positioned.

I used my fitness tracker to monitor my sleep when my wisdom tooth was erupting, and the sleep quality was terrible due to the pain. Applying a cold compress on my jaw before sleeping really helped reduce the localized inflammation. It's a good temporary hack till you see your dentist.

Wisdom tooth pain is no joke and warm salt water gargles are your best friend for temporary relief. But let's be real, if there isn't enough space in your jaw, that tooth has to come out. Just go to a good dentist and get it checked.

I visited a dental specialist at a proper hospital for my wisdom tooth pain. They explained clearly that if the tooth is impacted, removal is the only permanent solution. Ask your dentist clearly about the pros and cons of extraction versus waiting.

Wisdom tooth extraction can cost quite a bit depending on the clinic. To plan your budget, you can get a basic x-ray done at a government hospital or diagnostic center first. For temporary pain relief, gargle with warm water and salt which costs nothing.

My back gums are swelling up and it hurts to chew anything. I've been doing warm salt water gargles which helps a little bit. Does everyone have to get their wisdom teeth extracted, or can the pain just go away on its own?
