While you can drink plenty of water at home to help flush out the system, home remedies cannot cure a bacterial urinary tract infection. You must get a urine routine test done and consult a doctor. Leaving a UTI untreated can lead to serious kidney complications.

Hey, drinking barley water or diluted cranberry juice can help soothe the urinary lining and reduce discomfort at home. However, don't let it linger for more than a day. If you have fever or back pain, you need to see a doctor immediately for proper antibiotics.

I literally just finished my UTI medication yesterday. Drinking lots of warm water and coconut water helped ease the sharp burning pain at home. But honestly, the pain only fully stopped after I started the doctor's prescribed antibiotics, so please make that call.

When I had a UTI, my doctor told me to drink lots of water and keep the area clean. A warm water sitz bath also helped ease the local discomfort quite a bit. But you definitely need proper medicine to clear the infection, so don't avoid the clinic.

Please don't trust random internet blogs saying baking soda or vinegar cures UTIs at home, as they can be dangerous. The only scientifically proven way to cure a urinary infection is targeted antibiotic treatment. Sip water to ease the burning, but let a doctor prescribe the medicine.
