How to ease the pain of piles?

I've been suffering from piles for a while now, and the pain and irritation are really troublesome, especially when sitting or after using the washroom. My doctor advised some medication, but I'm looking for additional ways to get relief at home. What can I do to ease the pain of piles?

I know this is incredibly uncomfortable and painful, but please don't stress. Sit in a tub of warm water (sitz bath) for 15 minutes twice a day, it really relaxes the area and cuts the pain. Also, avoid sitting on hard chairs; use a soft pillow.

Managing high blood pressure taught me that straining is very bad for cardiovascular health and also worsens piles. I had to change my lifestyle completely, eat high-fiber meals, and get regular checkups. Please don't ignore this; get it checked by a doctor.

I have dealt with this for years, and honestly, diet is your biggest medicine here. Drinking warm milk with a spoon of ghee at night helped soften my stools, and applying a bit of organic coconut oil externally gave temporary cooling relief. But do see a doctor if there is bleeding.

In my years of experience, the biggest mistake people make is ignoring early symptoms out of shyness. Eat plenty of papaya, curd, and fiber-rich food daily, and avoid tea or coffee which can cause dehydration. A simple timely consultation can save you from surgery later.

Keep your hydration levels on point, at least 3-4 liters of water a day, especially if you exercise. Adding soluble fiber like oats and psyllium husk helps a lot in smooth digestion. Avoid heavy compound lifts until the flare-up completely subsides.

If your doctor allows, light walking for 20-30 minutes daily is great because it improves blood circulation and bowel motility. Just avoid heavy weight lifting or squatting right now as that can increase pelvic pressure. Keep active but keep it gentle.

I totally get it, the pain makes it impossible to even sit or focus on anything the whole day. It is so exhausting and frustrating. Please drink lots of coconut water and buttermilk to keep your digestive system cool, and take plenty of rest.

My physician explained that swelling in the rectal veins gets aggravated by hard stools, so stool softeners are highly recommended initially. He advised me to strictly avoid straining and include at least 30 grams of fiber daily. Do get an expert examination to rule out fissures.

My grandmother used to suggest drinking plenty of spiced buttermilk with small onions to cool the body. While that helps digestion, I highly recommend visiting a doctor for proper ointments. Balancing home care with medical treatment is the safest way.
