How to ease testicular pain?

I've been experiencing occasional testicular pain, especially after long walks or exercise. It's not constant but gets quite uncomfortable. Should I be concerned, and are there any initial steps I can take to ease this pain?

When my teenage son had sudden mild ache from a sports injury, resting and wearing supportive underwear helped him recover. But please, if the pain is severe or sudden, take him to a doctor immediately. Don't let them hide it out of shyness.

Oof, that is a pain no guy ever wants to experience! For now, ditch the boxer shorts and wear snug briefs to keep everything stable and supported. If it feels like you got kicked by a mule for no reason, go see a doc, don't try to be a hero.

I had a dull, dragging ache last year which turned out to be a mild epididymitis after I lifted some heavy boxes. Resting completely for three days and taking the antibiotics my doctor prescribed cleared it up. I didn't try any home remedies for this.

Honestly, any kind of testicular pain should not be self-treated with random ice packs or painkillers. Just book an appointment with a urologist today and get an ultrasound done if they suggest it. It is better to get a clear diagnosis quickly.

If you are lifting heavy weights at the gym, wearing a proper supporter or gym brief is absolutely essential to prevent strain in the groin area. Take a break from leg day and heavy squats until you get this checked by a physician. Don't push through this pain.

I agree with wearing snug, supportive underwear. It prevents unnecessary movement and significantly reduces the dull ache while walking.

My urologist explained that testicular pain can stem from minor muscle strains, varicocele, or even a kidney stone. However, sudden, severe pain can be testicular torsion, which is a medical emergency requiring treatment within hours to prevent permanent damage. Get it evaluated by a doctor to be absolutely safe.

I would be panicking so much if I felt any pain there, it is such a sensitive area. Please do not ignore it or wait for it to go away on its own. Go to an emergency clinic right away if there is any swelling, redness, or nausea accompanying the pain.
