If you have got a bad sunburn, stop using harsh soaps or scrubs immediately. Just apply fresh aloe vera gel directly from the plant or use a pure, fragrance-free moisturizer. Keep your skin hydrated by drinking tons of water and stay indoors for a couple of days.
Please monitor your skin closely for any blistering or fever, as those are signs of severe second-degree burns. If the skin is peeling excessively or feels extremely hot to touch after 24 hours, it is much safer to visit a dermatologist. Don't try random home remedies on raw skin.

For instant relief from that burning sensation, you can apply a cold, damp cloth to the sunburned areas. Calamine lotion is also very good for soothing the itching and redness. Just make sure you do not peel the flaking skin yourself, let it shed naturally.
