How to ease strep throat pain?

My younger brother got strep throat, and he's in so much pain, especially when swallowing. Mom is giving him warm water, but he's still really uncomfortable. What else can we do to help him feel better until the antibiotics kick in?

Whenever my smart band shows a spike in sleeping heart rate, it is usually a throat infection coming on. I track my warm water intake and log my symptoms to see if it is worsening. Warm salt water gargles 3 times a day really help reduce the swelling fast.

I had severe strep throat last year and went to a top ENT specialist at Kokilaben hospital. They clearly told me not to use random OTC throat sprays without a prescription. Please get a proper throat swab done if your doctor recommends it, rather than guessing.

Since strep is a bacterial infection, gargles alone won't cure it completely, though they help with the raw pain. You will likely need a course of antibiotics from a doctor. Don't stop the medicine halfway even if your throat stops hurting after two days.

Oh God, strep throat pain is so scary because you always think it will turn into something worse. I get so paranoid that I cannot sleep when my throat hurts like this. Please keep sipping lukewarm water and if you find it hard to swallow even liquids, go to the doctor immediately to be safe.

Our bodies have a beautiful way of healing when we give them rest and peace. Drink some warm turmeric water and sit quietly for a few minutes to let your system recover. Take care of your health, keep your mind calm, and let the doctor guide your treatment.

With back-to-back client calls, throat pain is a nightmare for my productivity. I keep a flask of warm honey-ginger water on my desk and take quick sips. If it is strep, home remedies won't cut it, so just get an online consultation done today and get the right meds.

Haan na, swallowing anything during throat pain is so difficult, it feels like needles are there. Try to have simple, soft shira or warm soup for comfort. Don't drink any cold water or juice till you feel completely okay, ho na.

I agree with everyone recommending warm salt water gargles. Doing it right before sleeping gave me the best relief from that raw burning sensation.
