How to ease stomach pain while pregnant?

I'm in my second trimester and have been getting these uncomfortable stomach pains sometimes. My gynaecologist said it's normal but didn't give many tips. Just wondering if there are any home remedies or things I can do to feel a bit better?

During my time, we used to get these mild stretches and cramps quite often in the second trimester. Rest as much as you can on your left side and keep your feet elevated. If it is just mild stretching it goes away with a little warm water and rest, so please do not stress.

I totally get it, pregnancy stomach pain can make you so anxious and uncomfortable. When I went through this, keeping a warm pillow near my lower back and sipping warm ginger water helped a lot. Just make sure you are not pushing yourself too much right now.

Please do not ignore this or try too many home remedies. I once brushed off my abdominal cramps thinking it was simple gas, but it turned out to be a severe UTI that needed immediate attention. If the pain is sharp, constant, or if you feel any cramping, call your gynaecologist immediately.

My wife had terrible stomach cramps whenever she overate her favourite spicy chaat during her first trimester. Sometimes it is just heavy bloating, so try eating very small, frequent meals instead of heavy dinners. Avoid very oily stuff for a few days and see if the stomach settles down.

My pregnancy tracker app always recommended keeping track of water intake when stomach pain hits, as dehydration causes uterine cramping. I found that doing extremely light pelvic stretches, with my doctor's green light, really helped release the gas build-up. Keep a log of when the pain peaks so you can show it to your doctor.

Before you spend thousands on sudden emergency scans and hospital visits, try lying down and drinking some coconut water to see if it is just dehydration. But keeping a buffer fund for pregnancy is very important. If the pain doesn't stop in an hour, just budget for a quick scan and go see the doctor.
