How to ease piles?

I've been suffering from piles for a while now, and the discomfort and pain, especially after passing stool, is quite bad. It makes me dread going to the washroom. Are there any effective home remedies or general tips to ease piles?

I got so terrified when I first noticed bleeding, thinking it was something life-threatening. But my doctor assured me it's piles and can be managed. Please eat lots of fiber-rich food and drink at least 3 liters of water so you don't constipate. Also, see a doctor soon to ease your mind!

First things first, stop sitting on the toilet for hours scrolling your phone, as that pressure makes piles worse. Start eating high-fiber foods and take a sitz bath with warm water twice a day. If it's painful or bleeding constantly, just book an appointment with a general surgeon.

Piles can be incredibly uncomfortable and embarrassing to talk about, but please hang in there. Drinking warm water in the morning and avoiding spicy food will really help soothe the irritation. Hope you find some relief soon.

Eating papaya regularly and taking a spoonful of isabgol with warm milk at night can keep your stools soft. Also, sitting in a tub of warm water for 15 minutes gives instant relief from the burning. But if there is heavy bleeding, please don't wait and consult a doctor immediately.

Practicing gentle pranayama like Anulom Vilom helps calm the nervous system and improves gut motility. Regular, mild yoga poses can also prevent constipation, which is the main cause of piles. However, avoid any strenuous postures or heavy lifting when you have active pain.

If your doctor says it's okay, a simple 20-minute daily walk can stimulate your bowel movements and relieve the pressure on your lower abdomen. Just avoid heavy squats or intense workouts for now as they can strain the area. Focus on clean eating and stay active.
