How to ease nipple pain from breastfeeding?

My baby is just two weeks old, and while I love breastfeeding, my nipples are so painful, especially after a feeding. I'm trying to get the latch right, but it's still hurting. Any tips for some relief?

If you have cracked, bleeding nipples or fever, please get it checked by a lactation consultant or doctor immediately. These symptoms can quickly lead to painful breast infections like mastitis if left untreated. Safety first, always seek professional advice.

Most breastfeeding pain is due to an incorrect latch. Try to make sure the baby takes in the dark area around the nipple, not just the tip. Applying a few drops of express breast milk on the area after feeding and letting it air dry works wonders.

Using 100% pure lanolin cream after every feed was my absolute lifesaver! It is completely safe for the baby and heals dry skin so fast. You've got this, mommy!

When I was breastfeeding, the physical stress and sleep deprivation actually made my blood pressure shoot up. Take care of your general health, stay hydrated, and don't miss your routine postpartum checkups. Healthy moms make happy babies.

Oh sweetie, those first few weeks of feeding are incredibly tough, but don't stress too much. Your body is adjusting, and it will get so much easier soon. Try using silicone nipple shields for a few days to give your skin a break to heal.

For diabetic mothers, cracked nipples can take a bit longer to heal, and high sugar levels increase the risk of thrush infections. Keep your blood sugar strictly managed with balanced meals and discuss any signs of infection with your doctor right away.
