How to ease lumbar pain?

My doctor mentioned I have some lumbar pain after my last check-up, probably from my desk job. It's starting to get quite annoying. Are there any specific techniques or exercises to ease lumbar pain?

I totally get it, lumbar pain can make even sitting or standing feel like a huge task. Please take a break from work today, apply some warm gel, and rest on a firm surface. I hope you find some relief soon.

Please do not trust random spinal exercises shown on the internet for lumbar pain, as a wrong move can severely worsen a disc bulge. Always consult an orthopedic doctor or a certified physical therapist. Get a proper diagnosis before doing any treatment.

I have managed lumbar stiffness for many years now, and the key is never to rush your movements. Rest your back, avoid bending forward from the waist, and use a heating pad to relax the area. It will get better, just give your body some time.

At home, my mother always advises applying warm sesame oil to the lower back to ease the stiffness. While this gives good temporary comfort, I highly recommend consulting a specialist for lumbar pain to check for any nerve issues.

Lumbar pain usually points to poor core strength or a bad mattress. Swap your soft mattress for a firm one and get a medical consult if the pain lasts more than three days. Don't delay and let it turn into a chronic issue.

Since the lumbar spine carries most of our body weight, any pain there should be treated with caution. Please do not ignore it or try aggressive self-massage. It is safest to visit a spine specialist or physiotherapist for a proper clinical checkup.

Lumbar pain is really tough. Rest flat on your back and use a heating pad.

When my lumbar pain acts up, I just use it as a valid excuse to avoid kitchen chores and rest on the bed. A hot water bottle works wonders while you rest and let your back heal. Avoid sitting for long periods today.

Very gentle movements like the Vajrasana or basic breathing can help release tension in the lumbar region. However, you must perform these only under expert guidance and never during acute pain. Keep your diet light and warm.

Beta, for lower back and lumbar stiffness, sleeping on a hard wooden bed with a thin cotton mattress helps a lot. Avoid cold food items and drink warm water throughout the day. If the pain is too severe, please call a doctor.
