How to ease lower back pain?

My lower back has been bothering me for a few weeks now. It's not constant, but when it flares up, it makes daily tasks difficult. Any general tips on how to ease this pain?

My back is screaming right now because I slept in a weird angle trying to finish my office work till 3 AM. A hot shower helps temporarily, but honestly, getting decent sleep on a firm mattress is the only real fix. Don't pull all-nighters like me.

If you sit for 8-10 hours daily, back pain is inevitable. Set an alarm to stand up and stretch every 45 minutes, and invest in an ergonomic chair. If the pain is chronic, go to a physiotherapist instead of ignoring it.

Honestly, slouching over my laptop during online classes gave me the worst lower back ache. Just lying down on the floor for ten minutes actually helps to flatten and relax the spine. Give it a try, it feels amazing.

Applying a local pain-relief gel three times a day and resting your back should help with acute pain. Just make sure you don't use heating pads on high heat for too long to avoid skin burns. If the pain spreads to your legs or causes numbness, see a doctor immediately.

Ever since my thyroid levels went fluctuating, joint and muscle aches have become very frequent. If your back pain doesn't go away with rest, get your thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) and Vitamin D levels checked. Regular follow-ups with your doctor are crucial.

Beta, in our days we used to lightly massage the back with warm sesame oil mixed with a little camphor. It brings great relief, but you must lie down on a firm surface and avoid lifting any heavy buckets or bags until you are completely healed.
