How to ease ligament pain?

I twisted my ankle playing badminton last week, and while it's getting better, there's still some lingering ligament pain around the ankle joint. It hurts when I put weight on it. How can I ease ligament pain and help it heal faster?

Our bodies are beautiful mechanisms that sometimes just need rest and gentle care. Please give yourself time to heal, keep a calm mind, and don't rush the recovery. Apply a cold compress and pray for your swift healing, everything will be fine.

Bro, I twisted my ankle playing football last month and the ligament pain was no joke. I just followed RICE - rest, ice, compression, and elevation. Dont try to walk or run on it too soon or you'll make it worse, just chill on the bed for a few days.

Since I have thyroid issues, my joint and ligament recovery is always very slow and painful. I would highly suggest getting your thyroid and vitamin levels checked regularly because hormone imbalances slow down healing. Please consult your doctor for a proper treatment plan instead of waiting it out.

Ligament recovery needs solid nutrition, so focus on eating enough protein and vitamin C to help with tissue repair. Avoid heavy workouts for now, but once the pain subsides, focus on strengthening the surrounding muscles to prevent future injuries. Take care!

Please be very careful with ligament issues because I neglected a minor sprain and ended up with a partial tear that needed surgery later. Do not massage it vigorously or try to walk through the pain. Get an X-ray or MRI done if your orthopedic doctor suggests it, safety first.

Oh God, ligament pain always makes me so worried that it might be a permanent tear or something serious. Please don't strain it at all and keep it elevated to reduce any swelling. I hope you feel better soon, maybe just call your family doctor once to be completely sure?

Managing ligament pain can be tricky, especially with hormonal conditions like PCOS where inflammation is already high. I usually find that gentle rest and keeping the joint supported helps, but I never push myself. Please take it easy and get a doctor's opinion if the pain doesn't go down in a day or two.

Totally agree with resting the joint. Crepe bandage support and ice packs worked wonders for my sprain.
