How to ease groin pain?

I've been having this dull groin pain for the past few days, especially when I move a certain way. It's not severe, but it's annoying and sometimes sharp. Any tips on how to ease groin pain without going to the doctor immediately?

I pulled my groin muscle during a football match last year and it took weeks to heal. My biggest advice is to completely avoid any stretching, running, or heavy lifting right now because you will easily re-injure it. Just use ice packs for 15 minutes a few times a day and give it complete rest; if it doesn't improve in 3 days, see a doctor.

Groin pain is very uncomfortable and makes it hard to even sit or walk. Don't do any heavy work or lift water buckets at home for a few days, just take rest. Please go to a doctor nearby and get it checked, they will tell you if it is a simple muscle pull or something else.

Whenever I get any pain in that area, I start googling and get so scared thinking it is a hernia or some major muscle tear. Try not to panic like I do, but definitely don't ignore it either. Rest quietly today and make an appointment with a clinic just to be absolutely sure everything is fine.

I tried all kinds of hot compresses and herbal oils when I had this pain, but honestly, nothing works better than simple ice and absolute rest. Heat can sometimes make the inflammation worse in the first 48 hours, so stick to cold packs. If the pain is sharp or if you see any swelling or lump, skip the home remedies and head straight to a doctor.

I totally get it, groin pain can be so awkward to talk about and it literally restricts every single movement. Please don't push yourself to do daily chores or exercise through the pain. Just lie down in a comfortable position, keep your body relaxed, and definitely consult a healthcare professional to get the right guidance.
