How to ease dysmenorrhea pain?

Every month during my period, I get terrible cramps that make it hard to even go to college. My mom says it's normal, but this pain feels extreme. Is there anything effective to ease this dysmenorrhea pain?

Hey, don't stress too much, just curl up in bed with a hot water bag. Sip some warm ginger tea and allow yourself to take a complete break today.

My sister gets really bad cramps every month. She usually drinks warm chamomile tea and uses an electric heating pad which seems to help her a lot.

I was reading up on how gentle yoga poses like child's pose can stretch the lower back and ease dysmenorrhea. Has anyone tried it and does it actually work?

If your period pain is so severe that painkillers don't work, please consult a gynecologist. It could be due to conditions like endometriosis which need proper medical attention.

Does anyone else get severe back pain along with stomach cramps during the first two days? I often feel so nauseous and dizzy from the pain.

During your cycle, your body is working hard. Rest quietly, breathe deeply, and have some warm water with a little carom seeds (ajwain) to soothe the inner cramps.
