How to ease bunion pain?

I've developed a bunion on my foot, and it's causing a lot of pain, especially when I wear shoes. Walking has become quite difficult. What are some ways to ease the pain from this bunion?

Soaking your feet in warm water with Epsom salt can really ease the throbbing pain after walking. However, if the joint looks very red, swollen, or if you can't walk properly, please consult an orthopedic doctor.

Gentle toe stretching and spreading exercises can help restore joint alignment over time. Always keep your feet relaxed and avoid forcing any painful movements.

My mom has this and she stopped wearing pointed shoes completely. She uses silicone bunion protectors now, which she got online, and says they really help stop the friction while walking.

Do not believe online claims that special splints can cure or reverse bunions. Bunions are structural bone deformities, and you must consult an orthopedic specialist to manage the pain and get proper footwear advice.

I ignored my bunion pain for a long time, thinking it was just shoe bite, and ended up with severe joint inflammation. Please get it checked by a podiatrist early so they can advise proper orthotics before it gets worse.
