How to ease breast pain?

Lately, I've been experiencing tenderness and pain in my breasts, not just around my period. Sometimes it's a dull ache, other times it's sharper. Is there anything that can help soothe this breast pain?

I use a period tracker app which helped me realize my breast pain is strictly cyclical and happens exactly 5 days before my period. Tracking it helps me prepare by wearing comfortable sports bras and reducing salt intake.

I completely panicked last year thinking the worst when my left breast started aching. My gynecologist reassured me it was just hormonal mastalgia and advised simple warm compresses, which worked beautifully.

Switching to non-wired cotton bras and avoiding caffeine for a couple of weeks can significantly reduce hormonal breast soreness. It is a very common issue but highly manageable with these lifestyle changes.

Beta, do not worry so much, our bodies go through many hormonal shifts as we age, causing such aches. Rest well, apply a warm compress, and speak to your doctor if you feel any hard lumps.

Since I have high BP, I avoid taking random over-the-counter anti-inflammatory drugs for body pain. I rely on a warm heating pad for breast soreness and keep my regular doctor informed during checkups.
