How to ease boil pain?

I have this painful boil on my arm, and it's really tender to touch. It's making it difficult to wear full sleeves. What can I do to reduce the pain and discomfort from it?

Keep the area clean by washing it with mild antiseptic soap and water. You can apply a warm compress to bring the boil to a head, but if it is very large, painful, or accompanied by fever, you will need a doctor to drain it safely.

Boils can be so painful, haan. Don't try to squeeze or pop it with your fingers, na, otherwise the infection will spread. Just use a warm washcloth compress 3-4 times a day.

Boil pain is incredibly throbbing and painful. Applying a warm compress is usually the best way to help it drain naturally.

I was researching this because my cousin got a painful boil on his leg. Most medical advice says that applying heat helps increase blood circulation to the area, which speeds up healing. Just avoid any self-pinching.

In our time, we used to apply a warm turmeric paste to help soothe the skin and reduce the inflammation of a boil. However, keep the area covered with a clean bandage and do not touch it with dirty hands.
