How to ease arthritis in knees?

My knees have started bothering me a lot due to arthritis, especially when I climb stairs or walk long distances. My doctor suggested mild exercise, but what else can I do at home to ease arthritis in knees? It gets really stiff.

Applying warm sesame oil with a light massage can help soothe stiff knees in the morning. However, don't press or massage the joint too hard. If the swelling is high, a cold compress is better, and do consult your orthopedic doctor.

Losing even a little weight can significantly reduce the pressure on your knees, which helps both arthritis and insulin sensitivity. I focus on low-impact exercises like swimming or cycling and eat a balanced diet. Make sure to consult your doctor for a safe plan.

Drinking warm turmeric milk at night can help reduce inflammation naturally over time. But please be careful—if you have severe swelling, can't bear weight on your leg, or have a fever, please see a doctor immediately to check for any severe joint issues.

Fluctuating thyroid levels can sometimes make joint inflammation feel much worse. I highly suggest getting your thyroid and Vitamin D levels tested regularly, and working closely with your doctor to manage both conditions effectively.

Hey, don't stress too much! Try using a supportive knee sleeve when you have to walk around, it really helps stabilize the joint. Take it easy on the stairs, and let your knees rest as much as they need to.
