How to drop fever without medicine?

My wife isn't feeling well and has a slight fever, but she prefers to avoid medicines unless absolutely necessary. Are there any good home remedies or methods to drop a fever without medicine?

When you have conditions like thyroid issues, your body's temperature regulation can already be a bit tricky. Trying to avoid medicine entirely might not be the best idea if the fever is high. It's always safer to do your blood tests and consult your doctor to find the real cause.

Please be very careful about avoiding medicines if you have a proper fever. While wet sponge baths can help cool the skin down temporarily, they don't cure the underlying infection. Get yourself checked by a medical professional to ensure it is nothing serious.

Honestly, please don't experiment too much. I once tried to cure a fever with just home remedies and ended up with a severe kidney infection that put me in the hospital. If your body is burning up, get a proper checkup immediately.

When I don't want to pop pills, I just take a warm shower and drink lots of lemon water. It makes me sweat a bit and cools my body down naturally. But yeah, if it doesn't budge, I take the tablet my doc usually suggests.

You can manage a mild fever at home with wet pack therapy on the forehead and shins, saving on clinic fees. But keep a budget aside of around 500-1000 rupees for a basic blood test if the fever doesn't drop in 48 hours. It is better to plan ahead than face an emergency.

My fever once spiked dangerously high while I was trying natural cooling methods at home, leading to severe dehydration. It is not worth the risk. Go see a doctor and get the right treatment before things get out of hand.

Sponge baths with room temperature water are the best way to cool down without meds. Just don't use ice cold water.
