How to drop fever fast?

My daughter came home with a sudden high fever, and I need to bring it down quickly before her exams tomorrow. What are the fastest ways to drop a fever for a child?

Honestly, the fastest way is just resting and keeping track of your temperature every few hours. I use my smartwatch and a digital thermometer to log it. If it crosses 101, sponge yourself with normal tap water and drink lots of fluids, but don't rush to do intense workouts to sweat it out.

I usually just lie down under a light sheet and drink warm water when I get hot. Is it safe to use cold water on the forehead or does that make the shivering worse? I am always a bit scared of doing the wrong thing.

Fever is just your body fighting something off, so don't try to force your body into heavy action right now. If my doc says it is just a mild viral thing, I might do a very slow, gentle walk in the room just to stretch, but otherwise complete bed rest is what drops it.

Bro, forget the gym for a few days and let your body recover. Focus on light khichdi and coconut water to keep your electrolytes up while your temperature is high. Hydration is literally the fastest way to help your body cool down naturally.

Whenever I get a sudden fever, I just take a paracetamol after eating something and put a wet cloth on my head. Usually drops the temperature in an hour or two. If it doesn't go down by next day, I straight up visit the local clinic.

Please don't try to self-treat if the fever is very high or if you feel severe body ache and shivering. It is always better to consult a doctor first and get a proper diagnosis rather than trying fast home cures. Safe play is always best.

I used to panic the moment the thermometer showed even 100 degrees and think the worst. But I realized mild fever is just the body's natural defense mechanism doing its job. Just keep taking fluids and rest, it usually settles down on its own in a day or two.

I am no expert, but when I had a bad fever last month, keeping the room well-ventilated and wearing light cotton clothes helped me feel much better. I just stuck to simple gharguti remedies like drinking warm tulsi water and resting until I could see my family doctor.
