How to differentiate gallbladder and liver pain?

My stomach has been hurting a lot lately, mostly on the right side under my ribs. My friend said it could be either gallbladder or liver pain. How can one usually tell the difference between these two types of pain?

Gallbladder pain is often sharp, sudden, and occurs in the upper right side after eating fatty foods, while liver issues might cause a dull ache. Because of my diabetes, I never ignore abdominal pain and suggest getting an ultrasound done.

I know how terrifying it is to feel that severe pain in your upper abdomen and not know what is happening. Please don't sit in fear—visit a doctor who can do a quick scan to give you a clear answer.

Hey there! Gallbladder pain usually travels to your back or shoulder, especially after eating. But only a doctor can tell for sure, so please get it checked! Hope you feel better soon.

It is completely normal to feel extremely anxious when you have pain near your ribs. Taking the step to visit a doctor for an ultrasound will help ease your anxiety and get you the right treatment.

Beta, abdominal pain should never be treated with home mixtures or ignored. Go to a good doctor immediately to see if it is gallbladder stones or a liver issue, as both require proper clinical care.

Gallbladder issues often trigger severe pain after heavy, greasy meals. If you are experiencing persistent right-side abdominal pain, please consult a physician who can run liver function tests and an ultrasound.
