How to diagnose liver problems?

My father has been feeling very tired lately and his skin looks a bit yellowish. We are worried about his liver. How does one go about figuring out if there are liver problems?

Actually, you can't just guess it from outside, yaar. You need to get an LFT (Liver Function Test) done from a proper lab. My doctor made me do that along with an ultrasound when I was feeling super fatigued and had zero appetite.

I totally get it, trying to figure out these symptoms can make you so anxious. Please don't stress yourself by googling too much. The best way is to consult a physician who will write some simple blood tests and an ultrasound to see what is happening inside.

When my son was showing signs of jaundice and loss of appetite, we immediately took him to the pediatrician. They did some quick liver enzyme tests and caught the infection early. Please take care and get a professional doctor's opinion soon.

Liver issues can escalate very quickly without warning. I had severe fluid retention because I delayed my checkup, which led to painful complications. You must see a specialist doctor immediately and get an ultrasound and blood profile.

Please do not ignore this or wait for symptoms to get worse. I ignored mild indigestion and yellowing eyes for months thinking it was just heat, and it became a huge mess later. Go get a proper blood test done right away.

Hey, my dad went through this last year when he was feeling constantly bloated and tired. A simple blood panel and a liver scan gave us the clear picture. It's best to meet a gastroenterologist early so they can guide you properly.
