How to diagnose kidney stones?

I've had really sharp pain in my side that comes and goes, and it's making me nervous. My cousin had kidney stones and described similar pain. How do doctors usually diagnose kidney stones?

If you have severe pain, please see a doctor first. If the stone is small and the doctor permits, walking and staying highly hydrated can help pass it, but you need an ultrasound scan to know the exact size first.

Haan na, kidney stone ka dard is really unbearable. You should get an ultrasonography of the abdomen done. Usse clear pata chal jata hai ki stone kitne mm ka hai.

I have been having this sudden, sharp pain in my lower back that comes and goes. Did anyone else feel like this before being diagnosed with a kidney stone? I'm so scared to go for the scan.

The pain of a kidney stone can be so draining and scary, I completely understand what you are going through. When I went to the clinic, a simple ultrasound and urine test gave me a clear diagnosis, and finally getting answers was such a relief.

Oh, kidney stone pain can be so sudden and terrifying! Don't sit and worry online. Just go to a clinic and get a USG abdomen done. Knowing the size of the stone will help the doctor treat it quickly before it causes more pain.

Humare yahan toh log kehte hain khoob paani piyo, par doctor ke paas jaakar pet ka ultrasound karwana hi sahi hai. Usse stone ka exact size pata chal jata hai aur ilaaj aasan ho jata hai.

When I had severe side pain, the doctor ordered a CT scan of the abdomen because the ultrasound didn't show the small stone clearly. The CT scan confirmed a 4mm stone in my ureter.

Since I manage my blood pressure, I always keep an eye on kidney health. If you have pain, get an ultrasound and a kidney function test done. Keeping track of these reports is very important for overall health.

I know how overwhelming it is when you are in pain and don't know what's wrong. Please take a deep breath. An ultrasound is a very simple, painless scan that will tell the doctor exactly if it's a stone.

Staying calm and breathing deeply helps manage the stress of pain, but for a kidney stone, you must get an ultrasound. Once the doctor diagnoses the size and location, you can drink plenty of water and practice gentle yoga as advised.
