How to diagnose kidney disease?

My mother has diabetes and high blood pressure, and her doctor is always monitoring her kidney function. It got me wondering, what are the primary ways doctors diagnose kidney disease?

Bro, my dad had this. You basically need to get a blood test for creatinine and a urine routine test. The doctor will calculate the eGFR from that to see how well your kidneys are filtering.

An accurate diagnosis of kidney disease relies on specific laboratory tests. A kidney function test (KFT) checking creatinine and urea levels, along with a urine test for albumin, is what any nephrologist will recommend.

My elders always said drinking enough water keeps kidneys safe, but for diagnosis, we must go to a hospital. A doctor will suggest a KFT blood test and maybe an ultrasound of the abdomen to check the kidney size.

I completely understand how terrifying it is to worry about kidney health, I've been there. Please don't panic. A simple blood and urine test at a lab will give you clear answers and peace of mind.

Since I manage my thyroid with regular checkups, I know how important routine tests are. For kidneys, doctors usually monitor your creatinine levels. Get a regular health package done and consult your physician.

I barely sleep and drink way too much coffee, so I worry about my kidneys too. Honestly, just get a quick urine and blood test done at a lab. It takes five minutes and stops the endless Google search nightmares.

I ignored my swollen ankles and fatigue for months, which was a huge mistake. Please get a kidney function test done immediately if you suspect any issues. Early detection makes a massive difference.
