How to diagnose internal piles?

I've been noticing some discomfort and occasional bleeding when I go to the washroom, but nothing seems to be outside. My neighbour mentioned it could be internal piles. How do doctors diagnose internal piles, since you can't see them?

I agree with the general advice. A quick physical exam or anoscopy by a general surgeon is the only reliable way to diagnose internal piles.

If you are experiencing bleeding, make sure you don't strain during workouts or heavy lifting. Get it diagnosed by a doctor first, and then focus on a high-fiber diet and gentle walking to keep things moving smoothly.

Constipation can really worsen piles, so high-fiber foods are important. But to diagnose if it is actually internal piles, you must consult a doctor who can perform a simple proctoscopy.

Hey, don't feel embarrassed about this at all, it is very common. Just book an appointment with a general surgeon. They will do a painless digital rectal exam or use a small tool called an anoscope to check inside.

Keep your mind calm and don't let anxiety take over. A gentle doctor will examine you and suggest the right path. Take care of your diet and trust the healing process.

Drinking lots of water and warm sitz baths can ease the discomfort, but they won't diagnose the problem. If there is bleeding, please see a doctor so they can confirm if it is piles or something else.

At my age, I have seen many people suffer in silence because of shyness. Don't make that mistake. A doctor can easily diagnose internal piles with a simple, quick checkup in their clinic. It is best to get it sorted early.

Don't waste time trying to guess the grade of piles yourself. Just take a half-day off and visit a proctologist or general surgeon. They will do an anoscopy and give you a clear treatment plan in 15 minutes.

I have been noticing some blood but no pain, and I'm honestly so scared to get it checked. Does the doctor's exam hurt a lot for diagnosing internal piles? Please share your experience.

Haan na, checking online only increases our tension. A simple doctor visit is best. They use a small instrument to see inside, which takes only two minutes and gives a clear answer.
