How to diagnose eosinophilic asthma?

I have asthma, but sometimes it feels like my symptoms are very severe and don't respond well to my usual inhaler. My doctor mentioned something about 'eosinophilic asthma'. How is this specific type of asthma diagnosed, is it different from regular asthma tests?

I was so terrified when I first heard this term, but honestly, it is just a specific type of asthma. My doctor diagnosed it through a simple blood test that checks the level of white blood cells called eosinophils. Don't worry, it's very manageable once identified.

At my age, every breathing trouble makes me wonder what's next. To diagnose this, the doctor will likely ask for a sputum test or a blood test, along with the usual breathing tests. Best to let the specialist do the thinking while we just take our meds.

While a clean, anti-inflammatory diet helps overall respiratory health, this specific diagnosis requires medical tests. A pulmonologist will usually measure the eosinophil levels in your blood or saliva. Definitely consult a doc for proper diagnosis.

Listen, don't stress yourself out. Eosinophilic asthma is diagnosed by looking at your asthma symptoms and checking if you have high eosinophil levels in your blood or phlegm. Just visit a good pulmonologist and they will figure it out for you.

Oh, please don't get stressed searching online about asthma types! It will only make you feel more anxious. Just book an appointment with a chest specialist, they will do a lung function test and guide you smoothly.
