How to diagnose arthritis in knees?

My knees have been aching a lot lately, especially when I climb stairs or stand for long. My doctor mentioned it could be arthritis, but how does one actually confirm it? Is it just X-rays or are there other tests too?

I panicked so much when my knees started cracking and hurting while climbing stairs. I thought I needed surgery, but the doctor did an X-ray and said it was mild wear and tear that could be managed with simple exercises. Go get it checked, it is often much simpler than you think.

When your knees start predicting the rain better than the weather department, it is time to get them checked! Seriously, go see a doctor. They will do a quick physical test and probably an X-ray to see if your cartilage is taking a vacation.

Knee pain starts making sound while bending, ho na! Don't worry too much, but it's best to show an orthopedic doctor. A simple standing X-ray of the knees is usually what they do to check the joint gap.

Beta, if your knees swell up and hurt when you sit on the floor, please don't ignore it. Go to the government hospital or a good doctor nearby and get a photo (X-ray) of your joints. They will tell you exactly what is wrong and give some simple tablets.

Knee pain can be due to weak quadriceps or actual joint wear. To diagnose arthritis, a doctor will check your range of motion and order an X-ray. If it is arthritis, strengthening the muscles around the knee through light leg press or extensions really helps.
