How to diagnose arthritis in hands?

My mother has been complaining about pain and stiffness in her hands, especially in the mornings. We suspect it might be arthritis. How do doctors diagnose arthritis in hands?

Haan, if your fingers feel super stiff and painful in the morning, it could be arthritis, na. Don't just sit and ignore it. It's better to show a doctor and get an X-ray done to be absolutely sure what's causing the stiffness.

In our family, we use a little warm mustard oil with garlic to gently massage stiff finger joints in the morning. It helps reduce the cold stiffness. But you must also consult a proper doctor to check if you need joint supplements or specific medicines.

If joint pain is affecting your typing or daily work, don't waste time trying randomly. Book an appointment with a rheumatologist. They will usually recommend an X-ray and some blood tests like RA factor to give you a clear diagnosis.

Keep your spirits high even when your hands are in pain. Simple gentle hand stretches in warm water can bring some relief to stiff joints. Do take proper care and consult a physician to understand the best treatment for your hands.

My grandmother has arthritis in her fingers and she used to struggle with opening jars. She finally went to a doctor who did an X-ray to diagnose it properly. If your hand joints are hurting, definitely get it checked out instead of waiting.

Stiff and swollen hand joints can be very uncomfortable to deal with daily. Please visit a local doctor who can examine your hand movements and suggest the right tests. I hope you find some relief soon.
