How to determine liver disease?

My brother's friend was diagnosed with liver disease, and it got me thinking. What are the early signs or symptoms that can help determine if someone has liver disease? I want to be aware.

My grandmother used to say that if your eyes look yellowish, it's not a good sign for the liver. But for proper diagnosis of liver disease, it's best to consult a doctor. They will do blood tests, like liver function tests, and maybe an ultrasound. Always trust the doctor for serious matters like this.

Maintaining a healthy diet, especially vegetarian, is great for general liver health. But if you suspect liver disease due to symptoms like fatigue, yellow skin/eyes, or dark urine, please see a doctor immediately. They will conduct proper blood tests (LFTs) and scans. Don't rely on diet changes alone for diagnosis.

If your skin is turning yellow and you're feeling like a zombie, it's probably not just a bad mood. Time to see a doc! They'll do some blood tests and tell you if your liver is throwing a party it shouldn't be. Don't wait till you glow in the dark!

I totally get how scary it can be when you notice something unusual with your body. Liver disease can have vague symptoms like fatigue initially. But if you see yellowing of skin or eyes, dark urine, or swelling, please don't hesitate. A doctor can do specific blood tests and imaging to diagnose it properly. Be kind to yourself through this.

Beta, when you get older, you hear about all sorts of ailments. Liver disease can be serious, but it's important not to panic. If you're feeling very tired, seeing your skin or eyes yellow, or having swelling, then it's a clear sign to visit the doctor. They have tests that confirm these things easily.

Being diabetic, I'm always advised to keep a close eye on my liver health, as diabetes can affect it. My doctor regularly checks my liver function tests (LFTs) during my routine check-ups. So if you have diabetes or any other health condition, make sure your doctor is monitoring your liver health too, not just waiting for symptoms.

For liver disease, symptoms can sometimes be subtle, like fatigue or nausea. But if you see yellowing of skin or eyes, dark urine, or stomach swelling, that's a red flag. Go to a doctor immediately for liver function tests (LFTs) and imaging. Regular exercise and a clean diet help general health, but for diagnosis, only medical tests work.
