How to determine kidney function?

I've been trying to live a healthier lifestyle and was curious about overall organ health. How exactly is kidney function determined by doctors? Are there any home indicators?

Oh, I totally panicked about my kidney function once when I had some unusual symptoms. But after seeing the doctor and getting blood and urine tests, everything came back normal. It's often just a scare, but getting checked properly is the only way to really know and calm your nerves.

My kidney function was a concern for a bit. The doctor primarily looked at my GFR (glomerular filtration rate) and creatinine levels from a blood test. Also, a simple urine test for protein. These three are the main indicators. If these are in range, your kidneys are likely doing well.

Kidney function is super important, so don't guess! If you have any doubts, even slight ones like feeling tired or swelling, just go and get a full check-up. Better to be safe than sorry with something as vital as your kidneys.

Does anyone else constantly worry about their kidneys? I keep thinking about how much water I drink and if I'm peeing enough. Is it normal to feel so anxious about kidney health, or am I just overthinking? How do you guys manage this worry?

Kidney function? My function is mostly to chug coffee and hope for the best, haha. But seriously, only a doctor can properly check it with blood and urine tests. My brain is too tired to figure out medical stuff myself.

For good kidney health generally, staying hydrated and eating healthy ghar ka khana helps. But to actually determine how well your kidneys are functioning, you absolutely need to see a doctor. They do specific blood and urine tests. Don't try to guess or use only home remedies for this.
