How to decrease back pain while sleeping?

I wake up almost every morning with a stiff and aching back, even though my mattress is relatively new. It makes it hard to start the day. How can I decrease back pain while sleeping?

Ho na, sleeping position matters so much for back pain. Try keeping a pillow between your knees if you sleep on your side. Or a small pillow under your lower back if you sleep on your back. It helps align the spine, haan na.

If back pain is significant during sleep, it's a red flag. I ignored mine and it became chronic. Please see a doctor or a physiotherapist. They can suggest specific sleeping positions and maybe even a different mattress to avoid serious complications later.

Same! I used to wake up with terrible back pain. What worked for me was changing my mattress to a medium-firm one and always sleeping with a small pillow under my knees when I'm on my back. It takes some getting used to, but it helps a lot.

A good, firm mattress is the first step. If that's not possible, place a thin plywood board under your current mattress. And definitely try sleeping on your side with a pillow between your legs, or on your back with a rolled towel under your lower back. Small changes, big difference.

Haan, back pain during sleep is common. Try changing your pillow; sometimes a bad neck pillow can affect your whole spine, na? And make sure your mattress isn't too old or saggy. If it's still bad, go see a physio, they really help.

It's often a posture issue or weak core. Strengthen your core muscles with planks and crunches during the day. This supports your back even when you sleep. Also, ditch stomach sleeping, it's terrible for your spine. Side or back sleeping is the way to go.

For restful sleep and less back pain, gentle stretching before bed can be very beneficial. A few minutes of 'legs up the wall' pose or child's pose helps relax the spine. And focus on deep, calming breaths (pranayama) to ease tension in the body.
