How to deal with psoriasis scalp?

My scalp has been very itchy and flaky lately, and my doctor suspects it's psoriasis. It's quite embarrassing and uncomfortable. What are the best ways to deal with psoriasis on the scalp?

Ugh, psoriasis on the scalp sounds so irritating! While I can't advise on treatment, I've heard that some people find spicy food or very sugary treats can trigger flare-ups. So maybe, just for a bit, try to reduce those yummy cravings and see if it helps? More green stuff, less 'cheat meal' fun! 😉

Dude, a friend of mine has scalp psoriasis and it gets super itchy for him. He uses a special shampoo his doc told him to, and he says he has to avoid really hot showers cause it makes it worse. And no scratching, even when it feels like a million ants are biting him! It's a constant battle for him.

Psoriasis on the scalp is quite common and can be very bothersome. Gentle care is key. Use a mild, medicated shampoo prescribed by your dermatologist. Avoid vigorous scratching or harsh brushing. Applying a light oil like coconut or olive oil gently before washing can help loosen scales. Try to keep stress levels down, as stress often triggers flares.

Scalp psoriasis? Ugh, sounds like your scalp is throwing a constant protest party! 🎉 For relief, maybe try telling it to chill out? Kidding! But seriously, a good dermatologist will set you up with proper shampoos and treatments. And maybe a cool, calming head massage (very gently!) can be your little rebellion against the itch. You got this!

I had a really bad case of scalp psoriasis last year. It was so itchy and embarrassing. What really helped was a combination of a prescribed topical steroid solution and a salicylic acid shampoo to remove scales, as advised by my derm. Also, I stopped using any heat on my hair and switched to a silk pillowcase. It took time, but it's much better now.

Arey, scalp psoriasis, ho na, bahut mushkil hota hai manage karna. Mera ek relative hai unko bhi tha. Unhone kya kiya, doc ne unko special shampoo diya, aur बोला tha ki stress bilkul nahi lena. Aur zyada scratching mat karna. Thoda thanda oil ya aloe vera gel lagana bhi theek rehta hai. But doc ki baat sunna bahut important hai.

Psoriasis is an autoimmune condition, and sometimes autoimmune issues can come in pairs. As someone with a thyroid problem, I always check if there are any connections. While not directly linked, general inflammation can worsen psoriasis. So, ensure your overall health, including any other conditions like thyroid, is well-managed with regular checkups with your doctor, alongside dermatology treatment.
