How to control thyroid in female?

My mother and aunt both have thyroid problems, and now I'm also experiencing symptoms like hair fall and fatigue. I suspect it's thyroid. How can I control thyroid in a female and manage these symptoms?

Honestly I can only tell u what worked for me. My doctor started me on a very small dose of thyroxine daily in the morning on an empty stomach. Along with that, cut down on processed foods and got my tests done every three months to adjust the dose.

Managing thyroid levels is a full time job, trust me I am always tired anyway. My wife has been struggling with this and she literally has to set five alarms just to take her morning medicine. If u miss the pills or sleep late constantly, those hormone levels just go crazy.

Beta, thyroid issues are very common these days so please don't stress. First step is always to consult a good endocrinologist who will guide u. Along with your daily prescription, try to include a light walk and simple home cooked meals in your routine.

Look, with a busy schedule you cannot ignore this. Just book a home collection blood test online for thyroid profile every few months to monitor. It barely takes 5 minutes and helps your doctor keep your prescription accurate.

My daughter was diagnosed with thyroid issues last year and we were so worried. But once the doctor started the right medication and she stopped sleeping late, her energy levels came back to normal. Just be consistent with the doctor's plan.

Agreed with the others. Definitely don't skip your medicine, even on weekends it is super important.
