How to control back pain?

Been dealing with lower back pain for a few months now, especially after long hours at my shop. The doctor gave me some pain meds, but I'm looking for more long-term solutions. What are some effective ways to control this back pain?

I totally agree with doing regular gentle stretching. Using a firm mattress instead of a very soft one also made a big difference for my lower back pain.

I have just started getting lower back pain because of my long sitting hours at my new job. Is it safe to use a hot water bag daily, or should I go see a doctor first?

Please don't ignore back pain or try to lift heavy weights to push through it. Rest your back for a couple of days, do very gentle walks, and if the pain shoots down your leg, go straight to an orthopedic doctor.

Most back pain is just due to weak core muscles and poor posture. Try to stand up every forty minutes, do some light hamstring stretches, and apply a warm compress to relax the tight muscles.

I spent months feeling so depressed and helpless because my chronic back pain stopped me from doing simple things like gardening or playing with my pet. Please be patient with your body; healing takes time and consistent daily care.

Because of my diabetes, my nerve health is very important, and back pain can sometimes be linked to diabetic neuropathy. I always make sure to keep my blood sugar under tight control alongside doing mild physiotherapy exercises.

I completely understand how alarming sudden back pain can feel, and how quickly your mind can jump to the worst-case scenario. Try to rest flat on your back on a firm floor with your knees bent, it really helps take the pressure off.

I totally get it, back pain can make even sleeping or sitting comfortably feel like a massive chore. Just take it easy today, use a heating pad, and don't force yourself to do any heavy household work.

Whenever my back hurts, I start overthinking and worrying if it is a slipped disc or something permanent. I find that doing very slow, gentle pelvic tilts on a mat helps calm both my mind and my lower back muscles.

When my thyroid levels were unbalanced, I suffered from terrible muscle aches and lower back stiffness. Please get your thyroid and Vitamin D3 levels checked, as nutritional deficiencies are often the hidden cause behind persistent back pain.

Make sure you walk for 10 minutes after every meal. It prevents back stiffness from sitting too much.

I bought an ergonomic chair and an under-desk footrest, which solved 80% of my posture-related back pain. If you sit for 10 hours a day like me, no amount of pain gel will help unless you fix your work setup.
