My son has been suffering from asthma since childhood, and lately his attacks seem more frequent. We are trying to find better ways to manage it at home. What are some effective ways to control asthma?

My pulmonologist explained that asthma is chronic inflammation, so we cannot manage it without daily preventive inhalers even when there are no symptoms. He also advised tracking peak flow rates weekly to anticipate any flare-ups before they become dangerous.

Please make sure to keep your home completely dust-free, as dust is the biggest trigger. I hope you find relief and feel better soon.

Managing asthma long-term can get very expensive with all the allergy tests and monthly inhalers. I highly recommend buying generic preventive inhalers from government Jan Aushadhi stores to save on your monthly medical bills.

I track the daily air quality index (AQI) on my phone app and avoid outdoor runs whenever the levels are too high. Wearing an N95 mask on bad air days has drastically reduced my asthma triggers.

I know how terrifying it feels when you can't take a full breath, the anxiety itself makes the chest feel tighter. Please keep your rescue inhaler with you at all times, just knowing it's there in your pocket helps calm the mind.

It used to feel so embarrassing and frustrating to use an inhaler in public while everyone stared at me. But once I accepted that this is necessary to live a normal life, managing my asthma became much easier emotionally.
