With chronic health issues, regular blood and urine tests are absolutely non-negotiable to monitor organ function. Make sure you are following up with your nephrologist diligently, as keeping your blood pressure strictly controlled is key to saving kidney function.

Please do not trust any random 'kidney detox' powders or herbal juices online, as many of them contain heavy metals that can completely destroy your remaining kidney function. Only take medications and dietary guidelines directly prescribed by a qualified nephrologist.

My grandfather has been managing chronic kidney disease for a while now. It was really hard for him to adjust to the low-salt and limited-fluid diet initially, but keeping a daily water-measuring bottle helped him track his exact intake.

When my uncle was diagnosed with kidney issues, his diet restrictions meant cutting down on high-potassium foods like potatoes and bananas, which was so hard for him because he loves food. Finding creative ways to spice up low-sodium meals is definitely a challenge!
